Cervin Ventures recently participated alongside Illuminate Ventures in a $5 million funding round for existing portfolio company Bedrock Analytics, a data analytics and AI platform for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturers. Bedrock uses AI and ML, augmented by subject matter expertise, to integrate multiple retail data sources, harmonize the data and highlight important insights into automated sales and marketing strategies. By showing how data, insights and storytelling can drive growth and increase market share, Bedrock is helping CPG manufacturers get the most value from their retail sales data investment.
Bedrock Analytics will use the funds to continue expanding go-to-market, customer success, and product teams. This is one more step in their journey to humanize data so sales teams can make more compelling propositions to their customers.
Our journey with Bedrock Analytics and its founder Will Salcido started with the seed round of funding. Will's personal story of grit and hard work, from East LA to Cornell to Silicon Valley inspired us. In addition, his deep understanding of the market through his work with global CPG companies in multiple international locations informed our investment thesis. It was clear from the start that the use of data analytics and AI could transform the retail and CPG industries.
